Berry & mushroom picking

The power of berries is no secret, and what better place to get your antioxidants – as well as some fresh air and light exercise – than in the scenic forests of Arctic Europe! Each berry has its own season, and autumn is ideal for blueberries and lingonberries. The latter is dubbed the pearl of the forest: its golden hue and mouth-watering sweet flavor inspire Nordic chefs and make it a common ingredient in desserts. Mushrooms, too, are abundant in the unspoiled forests and picking them is an important part of the Arctic traditions.
